"Harrison Bergeron" Comparison

"Harrison Bergeron"

This picture reminds me of the message given in the story "Harrison Bergeron" written by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. because the one zebra in the picture is different then all the others just by the way he decides to stand. The writer was trying to portray the message that everyone being treated the same way isn't always the right way. In the story "Harrison Bergeron", George, one of the main characters, was forced to act like everybody else. In order for him to do so he was given a buzzer that goes off in his head whenever he has many ideas to scramble his brain, that way he is not given the opportunity to have a long brainstorming period. Unlike the zebra in the photo, George was not allowed to be different. If standing backwards satisfies the zebra, then he should be given the chance to do what ever pleases him. If thinking intelligently pleases George, he should be allowed to do so.

Everyone should be given the right to be themselves, no matter what the circumstances are.

You lose, why?

Well fellow blogsta's, you might have heard of this game (if not, you must not get out much). Its a short game - finishes almost as fast as it starts - some might find it annoying (melis), so when you're with them definitely play.

So i will let you read the photo i have posted so you can understand how to play (if you didn't know before).

P.s. the game ;)

What should i blog about?

Some might wonder how one is suppose to write a blog...

i think the real question isn't "What should i write?" its "How do i write it?"

After spending 20 painfully long minutes straining my brain for blog ideas, i decided i was going to write about me not being able to write about anything.

Confusing? i thought so.. but then i realized its not what i write, its how i write it ;)

So, for my sanity (and my future mark) i am going to continue typing about how thinking of blog ideas is hard.

Its funny how every minute of everyday my brain races through thoughts, but when it comes down to picking a topic; nothing. I don't think choosing a specific topic is THAT hard, i can always talk about... cats or computer chairs or bananas for that matter, its just when it comes down to it, ill be getting marked on my ideas, so i don't want them to seem juvenile or insignificant.

So technically writing about nothing is a topic. right?

Whats so good about a blog?

Well my friend, the good great thing about a blog is its all your opinion.

You're not limited to what you can write about.

One day you can write about how making cookies is too complicating and the next, why eating green jello makes me feel like I'm eating boogers.

So if someone disagrees with what i blog about, they should choose a new blog to follow, because its my blog- not theres.

i mean that to a degree by-the-way, it doesnt mean im about to start blogging about complete inapropreite things, it just means that the things i choose to post about are my posts for a reason.

That is all :)
